Tromso: the Arctic capital where you see the Northern Lights and the Midnight Sun

The Arctic capital is the city where you can see the northern lights and the midnight sun. It's also a strategic point for a trip to the North Cape, Svalbard Islands and Lofoten Islands with the Hurtigruten.
Norway - Bodo - port

Bodø: strategic city, gateway to the Lofoten Islands and Arctic lands

Bodø (pronounced Bùda) is a small but strategical city. It is in fact the first port north of the Arctic Circle, the starting point to reach the Lofoten Islands with the northern terminus of the Norwegian railway and gateway to the Arctic lands. The current center is a mix of wooden houses, brick houses, blocks up to 10 floors high, quite luxurious hotels with large windows. The surrounding landscape is certainly fascinating: Nordland's largest city is surrounded by the rugged Børvasstindan mountains, Bodømarka forest and numerous small islands.

Trondheim: between wooden houses on the fjord and the Nidaros Cathedral

Trondheim was a beautiful discovery: a largely pedestrian city where you can walk quietly between cobbled streets and historic bridges, with many wooden houses and the Gothic-style cathedral, a culinary tradition influenced by both the land and the waters of the fjord, a lively and attractive atmosphere thanks to the largest university in Norway.

Beqa Lagoon: sharks diving without cage

In Fiji Islands you could see up to eight different species of sharks: black fin, white fin, gray, silver, tawny nurse, tiger, lemon and bull sharks . Obviously sharks are the centerpiece of the dive but the ocean could also be crowded with Labori Maori fish, rainbow, giant carango, moray, groupers, rays, turtles and over 400 species of tropical coral reef fish. In short, those who hate aquariums and want to see free animals in their natural habitat must come here.

Isla Holbox: backpackers between whale sharks and plankton

Far from the madness of Cancun and the tourists of the Riviera Maya, in Isla Holbox you could swim with whale sharks and see the bioluminescence of the plankton.

Mayan civilization: travel to Palenque, Yaxchilan and Tulum

Archaeologists believe that the appearance of the Mayan civilization dates back to 2,500 BC. Over the centuries they have become phenomenal astronomers, studying perfectly the movements of stars and planets. I went to their cities of Palenque, Yaxchilan and Tulum.

Chiapas: unmissable tour in southern Mexico

Adventurous excursions in Chiapas with monkeys, parrots and crocodiles between Mayan cities, forests, jungles, woods, canyons, waterfalls, rivers and caves. The nature of the southernmost State of Mexico is incredible.
